We just had the hugest earthquake I think we've ever had here. The hugest I've ever been in. Much bigger than the one we had in 2001. Things have fallen all over the place in here. One glass candle stick got smashed, but all else is OK. Kitties are all OK.

Thank you!!! It went on for a couple of minutes! I'm in a cinderblock building, so about as safe as you can get, but things still fell around here. My brother in south Jersey was in his car and didn't feel a thing and felt bad he missed it.

In all honesty, me and my co-worker were bummed not feeling it... it's that OMG want to be afraid, I guess! I just don't want anyone hurt or destitute from it all.

Sure, it's like a big EVENT--you want to be part of the experience, even though you don't want any damage from it.

Seeing the tornado that went through town here back in 2011 (911, earthquake, tornado--we had it all that year) was one of the scariest things I ever experienced and left me scared of storms for a few years, but I'm sure I would have felt a little bummed if I didn't see it, as you know from your recent tornado. The pack animal instinct we have is weird that way.
