It's the end of Tolkien Reading Day and I haven't given links for my last 3 reading excerpts for the [livejournal.com profile] read_lotr_aloud project in this journal, so I'm linking them here now. Bingo has added his appropriate face icons to the posts. The first two posts contain links to the whole chapter with everyone's readings. The last one I just recorded today, and not all readings are in yet, so there is no group link for the whole chapter. However, I will be adding that link after our wonderful organizer [livejournal.com profile] lbilover puts the post together next week, so please check back then if you're giving them a listen.

Farewell to Lothlorien

The Great River

The Breaking of the Fellowship

One day soon I'm going to sit down and do a listen to the whole of FotR that our group has produced and I'll be sure to leave comments then.
Reading LotR Aloud: Book 2, Chapter 6: Lothlorien; excerpt for the [community profile] read_lotr_aloud community. Click on pics to embiggen.

Listen to my reading, view more dollustrations, and go listen to everyone's readings of the entire chapter here.
My voice post for an excerpt of Fellowship of the Ring: Book 2, Chapter 5: The Bridge of Khazad-dum for [livejournal.com profile] read_lotr_aloud and more dollustrations can be found here in Bingo's LJ.

Reading LotR Aloud: Book 2, Chapter 3: The Ring Goes South for [livejournal.com profile] read_lotr_aloud

My reading of the beginning section can be found here and here.
Catching up on fannish stuff I haven't posted here, I did a voice post reading for part of LotR, Book 2, Chapter 2 here for [livejournal.com profile] read_lotr_aloud, with a link to readings of the entire chapter included in the second part.

Inspired by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] lbilover's Matching Pair pics and challenge here, I wrote a very oppressive RPS ficlet here, which I've reposted under the cut:

Undoing everything achieved for gay men since Stonewall, even if those cis gay men who are white often forget that trans and other queer women, many of whom were POC, spearheaded those riots and that queer culture is multifaceted and belongs to many people you would not invite to your private party, or even your street party, and who might not come anyway because they hate crowds and parties, and the HRC with their little picket fences, too, and may be busy playing RPG's or writing . . .  )

Then the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] belleferret wrote a prequel to my ficlet here and yay for collaboration!

Of the latest meta discussion on slash and women writing it, my favorite posts were here, here, here, and here.

OK, that catches things up a little. Damn, I'm missing doing picfics--soon.

I'm almost over this lingering, not quite ready for prime time flu thing. Still a little congested, but I went ahead and did my voice post for [livejournal.com profile] read_lotr_aloud here and here. And I got a lovely Paris post card from Frodo, Sam, and [livejournal.com profile] frodosweetstuff--thank you, you three! In other health news, I'm crossing my fingers that I just had menopause when I went through constant hot flashes the other week, because so far so good about period not showing up this week. If that was it, that would be so awesome--somehow I don't think I'll be let off that easy, though. On to the pretty trees . . .

Remember, you can click on any pic for embiggenment. Here's your sugar maple straight up, the colors all a memory now.
And yet more pretty colors . . . )
My voice post of a snippet of Ch. 8 is here.

The readings for Ch. 7 & 8 from the whole [profile] reading_lotr_aloud community on LJ are linked here.

And I never linked my first reading for Ch. 4 in this journal, which is here.

And I'm trying out DW's cross-poster for the first time with this post, so wheee!
