I gotses a letter yesterday from the grad school sayin' advancement to PhD candidacy is a go. Wheeeeeee!!!!!! And thus The Summer of a Thousand Little Hurdles comes to a close on a happy note. So yes, I do get to go on and write a dissertation on my icon lady there, and second chances do exist. (-:

And my mouth is healing. And Milli did not disappear during the violent thunderstorm the other day when I found the door blown open but no Milli-cat to be found anywhere---eeeek! And I'm a good twenty pounds lighter than last year.

And my LJ friends so rock. I wouldn't have pulled through to this point without you. Truly.

Thank you! Well, I've finished all the requirements except for that little ole 300-400 pp dissertation--I hope I can get through it in two years, but they're granting me 4 years altogether, now that I've advanced to candidacy. So that gives me a little breathing room for the inevitable crises that life will probably present, but crossing my fingers I'll get lucky for 2 years and stay on course.
