I just contacted a few local cat rescue orgs and sent them links to the pics of Moomoo and Tuxie I've uploaded to LJ scrapbook this week, so cross your fingers that the kitties get one of these jobs they've applied for. I've forwarded links to coworkers, friends, and acquaintances who think they may have interested friends. Tomorrow I'll go to the adoption fair at Petsmart armed with kitty pics and see if I can interest one of the fosterers in them. The only other thing I can do at this point is to put up their pics with my contact info in the local pet stores, vets offices, and grocery stores.

Meanwhile, these kitties keep getting cuter and cuter. Moomoo leans in against me when I pick her up now and purrs away--her coat is bunny rabbit soft--and Tuxie eats Pounce treats out of my hand and runs in circles after his super long tail.

Just don't call me Spot, OK? Just don't call me Spot, OK?

There's a third cat who has been occasionally showing up--feral--ze looks like dad or grandma. We've been checking each other out--ze followed me a little bit the other day. At first I thought ze was antagonistic with my two, but ze seems to be family--Tuxie went up to hir. Ze's got a huge territory--I've seen hir on my walks going down to the lake before I met MooMoo and Tuxie, and in the co-op parking lot. I won't take hir on as my responsibility unless ze starts getting much more social. Two to worry over and find homes for is enough right now.

So glad you're doing this for them; crossing my fingers for a happy ending!

Thank you, hon--please keep your fingers crossed. The couple rescue organizations talked with thus far had no room in the inn--I'm really worried.

There are a lot of cats out there. I'm just going to have to keep plugging on ways to advertise these guys--I hate selling stuff, but I'll keep trying. The immediate problem is I think I shouldn't wait any longer on getting them spayed and innoculated--so I need to look into boarding prices for the time it will take for Moomoo to recover from the surgery--and would they let Tuxie stay with her.

And thinking about how to deal with the winter--could I sneak them into the building's laundry room in a big carrier on snowy nights--or would some cat-hating bastard in this building complain immediately or hurt them? Buy them plane tickets to Florida? Knit them little parkas? (-; I was so not meant to caretake outdoor kitties.

I was thinking the same... you'd hate for Mom to get pregnant AGAIN!

Knitting little parkas... there you go!
