This was the prettiest summer solstice I can remember and, it being the longest day of the year, that's a very good thing. I took an extra long walk around the lake, marveling at gorgeous dragon flies with sky blue bodies tinged with a neon indigo and with shining sea-green heads, our solitary great blue heron, ducks a plenty, and lovely passion flowers just rising above the grasses sheltering them. But no turtles--I'm wondering where they all went, and if they know something I should know.(-;

And tarot readings are extra fun to do with a rotund cat rolling all over the cards.(-:

So happy solstice, summer or winter, depending on where you are. (-:

I completely agree with you! This has been the prettiest solstice that I can remember, too. What a lovely, lovely day.

My own yard, only, which today was quite enough of the world for me.

I got to be out today a bit, as well, and it was the most beautiful summer solstice that I can recall, too. Cool and breezy and low humidity, with blue sky and active puffy clouds racing along, just splendid!

So, does the rotund cat's life energy affect the cards, do ya think? AR AR AR!

Happy summer solstice back to you, even though it's technically the day after, now!

Yuppers! If we had weather like this more often, I'd be such a happier person--it makes such a difference!

Oh, with her rolling on the cards on her back like some furry little buddha hoping for her belly to be rubbed, I can't help but think that acquiesing to her wishes would add nothing but positive stuff. (-;

Happy summer solstice back to you, even though it's technically the day after, now!

Eh, what's technicalities between LJ friends.(-: TY, monks.

A lovely day for all

The turtles were probably hiding among the passion flowers celebrating the solstice in their own turtley way.

Re: . . . even our little reptilian friends.

Ah, as they used to say in the old country, "The longest day of the year is the day when, beneath the passion flowers, the turtles . . . " well, never mind. There's a reason why we left the old country.
