It's Caturday, so here's some cats. It's easy to keep track of Saki's weight when she likes sitting on the scale for a little bit.

Moo is copping a snuffle of Saki while she sits on the scale looking the other way. You can see the feet of the observing Tuxie in the background.

Weighing in, 6-13
Saki is having fun, and Moo and Tuxie want to know why. Ms. Moo weighs in at 16 lbs and gets off that thing as soon as she can. Tuxie weighs in at 18 lbs, and refuses to sit on that contraption, so I have to weigh him in my arms when I stand on my scale.

As usual, Tuxie says wonderingly, "I don't get it. Why Saki? Why?" But he is taking notes because he knows Saki has thoughts, and he hopes one day he will understand them.

DSCN5503
Since this pic was taken, Saki is weighing in at 10 lbs currently. She's doing well and I suspect she is no longer hypothyroid since her weight and appetite have come up. Please cross your fingers that she does not go more than slightly hyperthyroid this time and balance will be achieved.

The scale is nice to sit in, and she's getting good attention here. Still, sitting in the Plum Hork or a crinkly plastic bag would be better . . .

DSCN5415
She's pretty serious about weighing in.

But now it's time to do something else.

Tuxie's "perhaps one day he will understand them" is hysterical! Mrrrrrroooooorrrrre, please!

There is always mrrrrrooorrrre from this gang. (-:

Tuxie always tries so hard to comprehend the fun Saki manages to have in her clowny meezer way. He wants to learn the Miao of Meezerdom so badly. And he really has learned some from Saki. He meows to chat with me, and that's something he didn't learn from his mother Moo, who only whines to me when she has a complaint, or meows at him in warning to leave her alone. I'm sure he learned it from observing the way Saki chats with me.

The Miao of Meerzerdom! OMG! that needs to be a tee shirt!

As long as I have followed your kittehs, i did not know that Moo = mom. That's so cute that Tuxie has learned a bit of Meezerspeak (or the Common Tongue, as he likely calls it) and can chat with you.

Here's an album of pics of them when they were still on the street. Tuxie was a lot smaller than that when I first saw him a couple of months earlier. You can see that Moo was a little teenage Mom. She was probably not even a year old when she had him.

Tuxie has a cute high pitch meow and chirps, hence one of his nick names (also based on his outfit) is Mickey Mouse, though occasionally he'll get a good alto song going, hence his middle name Tinuviel. He doesn't open hsi mouth very much to meow. Saki has more of a Stevie Nicks-like voice that ranges from squawky to gravelly to chirps, and her whole face breaks open and scrunches up when she meows. This is opposed to our late Milli, whose lower jaw alone dropped when she made her sad little meow so that she looked like an earnest puppet. (-:

I had no idea they were street cats. How charming they all are. No wonder you love them so much!
