No, these are the Pine Barrens of central and south Jersey. I didn't know they had Pine Barrens in Long Island. My brother and I got lost in Wharton State Forest in central Jersey when we were wee tots. And lbilover's S/E Woodjin novel is set there, since she lives just outside of Pine Barren country now.
