There's a dollhouse miniatures show this Sunday afternoon in Tyson's Corner I'm going to, and if any of my local flistmates are interested in joining me, lemme know.
I discovered this wonderful little subculture a couple of years ago when I was inspired by
obeliamedusa's wonderful Bag End replica to start putting together my own, and just looking at all the teeny tiny crafted items in the dealer's room is like beach combing through little art works. My hobbit action dollies are hoping I'll be bringing them more embossed books, foods, and furnishings. If any of ya'll nonlocals are hunting for some specific miniature item, lemme know.
Last Sunday, I drove out to Rehobeth Beach and Delaware Seashore State Park and did a little photo shoot of my Sideshow Bingo doll, so for my hobbit and action dollie fans, this will be coming to an entry near you in the future. The state park was gorgeous and empty, and the beach combing was particularly rich with tiny gastropod shells I don't normally see up here, so I may head back on Saturday or Monday--if anyone wants to join me, give a hollar.
The unifying theme word of this post is "tiny."
