Photos are still the prime memorial for the use of the living, aren't they? But I'm glad I had a couple of little vids of Saki with her playful meows because I miss her voice and conversation so much and so wish I had some voice recordings of my first cat Storm who was a magnificent singer. She made so many different kinds of sounds in sweet and funny tones. But it's also comforting to be able to revisit the way they moved. Moo didn't meow a lot and never learned to use a meow for attention or conversation until her very last weeks she meowed for food at feeding time for the first time a few times before she got sick--I don't think it was connected to her impending illness either. So, I don't have recordings of her voice, but a lot of the pics I took of her on my iPhone were accidentally on "live" setting so I have a lot of 3 second vids that show her moving that I know I'll revisit.
