Many calicos and torties especially seem to have that spark and sociality that many siameses have, from what I see so many people comment on both kinds of cats, and in my experience, too. Ostre--the feral calico I looked after, had so much intelligence and soul in her yellow eyes that radiated out. Saki was a tortie-point siamese, so those lines came together in her, and she wore them with her own personal flare in her always upturned face.
It's funny, when you posted yesterday, I was just thinking about Saki. What a pretty girl. There's definitely something about blue-eyed kitties that particularly can melt a heart!
Thank you for thinking of her. it was the day and time she died 5 months ago. Even if her eyes were the ugliest color, it's all the spark and need to know that make those eyes so compelling. Personalities vary per individual, but siameses in general are just more socially connected and curious than a lot of other cat breeds, so those questing eyes just reach into us.
Thank you. She gave so very much and made me feel so loved and appreciated. I was blessed she wove herself so tightly into the fabric of my life for 16 years.
