Last week was so awful I couldn't bring myself to watch the crapstorm. :P This week I'll likely not watch either, though I do sort of keep up w/what's going on. Personally I have issues w/HRC, but she's a lot better than the alternative. Bernie's just been the breath of fresh air in politics this season. I do like what I read about the VP pick. And I have a friend who has had personal interactions w/him and says lovely things about what kind of person and politician he is, and I like what I hear from her. :) My issues w/HRC aren't anything to do w/her being a woman or even much of anything w/the e-mail situation. It's older stuff. But obviously I'll be voting Democrat come November, b/c the alternative is UNTHINKABLE. Horrific beyond all words. Scary and disgusting. And the fact that someone who is officially registered Repub (God only knows why I haven't changed it yet) should tell you how bad this has gotten. I've known for years I'm more Democratic-leaning, and it's only becoming increasingly pronounced as I get older.
I believe there is a large chunk of the population who are fed up with the way things are going and who are scared. Unfortunately, they're misplacing their fear. I share many of the frustrations held by Trump supporters, but unlike most of them, I understand enough to be MORE scared of what our country turns into if Trump becomes president. I've never been truly terrified of a president getting elected before...maybe Obama to some degree. That hasn't panned out quite as badly as I'd feared, but Trump scares me about 10,000 times worse than Obama on his scariest-to-me day. :P Trump TERRIFIES me. And I think he should terrify EVERYONE. Really, it's true what some ppl are saying...if you ever wondered what you'd do in Nazi Germany...this is your chance to find out. :P We are at a major turning point or a severely close call. I'm praying for the sake of everyone in the world it's going to be the latter as Hillary trounces Donald.
I thought I prayed for the last election...I think I need to pray harder for this one. :(
