No, I'm not in the mood to appeal to an oppositional audience.

I just listened to an interview today with Sy Hersh and if, like me, you don't have time to read his book at least read a couple of excerpts from it. It makes clear that Rumsfeld is responsible for Abu Ghraib, but will enough Americans care? Does anyone give a damn about the people still being held at Guantanamo all this time?

A vote for Bush is a vote for Abu Ghraib.

A vote for Bush is a vote for a total disregard for human rights.

A vote for Bush is a vote for another terror strike on the US, for what can be the response to the inhumanity this administration has perpetrated, but a like response? If we don't stop this barbaric behavior by voting out this administration in November, who will?

Yeah, I know; tell us how you really feel, Lavender.

And this is a really good essay on how Bush has tapped into the tunnel vision of the American dream, though the author doesn't define the essay as such. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] anneheart for the link.
