Saki's appetite has been better today, so I'm feeling a little reassured. Her appetite is much bigger, though, than her desire to eat what is before her. She keeps eagerly urging me to feed her, but then eats much less than normal, so getting her weight back up is going to be a slow slog.

Here's some pics of the lake from last September:

I'm sure Saki's appetite will come back, but that is definitely a good sign! She kinda sounds like how I am when I'm hungry - I'll feel really hungry, but then eat like a bird.

These pictures are all so beautiful. I especially like #2. I love the sound of flowing water.

You will both adjust. Just have a bite or two for her when she asks, and eventually she'll get stronger.

As always, the pics of the lake are lovely. There's a reservoir near where I live, but it stopped being such a refuge from modern times when the cell phone towers went up around it. It's going to be even worse soon, because the area just northeast of it is slated to be developed into a huge outlet mall. Ugly times coming, indeed.

Beautiful! And it's better to go slow and steady with Saki than rush to get the weight back on. You'll get there! *hugs*

How many of us have suffered the "eyes bigger than the tummy" syndrome (well, not many hobbits, I admit)...

may the slog be short and heralded by The Return of the Saki Eatering!

Thank you! I hope we've reached the turn around point, but it's still wait and see.

She lost half a pound this week, but the last 2 days she put 2 ounces back on, so I hope we've reached the turnaround point. Too early to tell yet.

I'm glad her appetite is better. Maybe she has tummy upset that keeps her from eating much at a time.

The pics are gorgeous.

I think she does get stomach upset. She's still running to pee a lot.

Thank you!
