Hey Washington, DC area and DODW Tolkien moot folk: any of ya game for going to see the free outdoor screening of FOTR on Saturday in Bethesda, if the weather holds? The vendors open at 6pm and the film starts at 8pm--parking is at the Tuckerman Rd Metro station--so want to meet there at 6:30pm maybe and walk over together?

They made it to Rivedell and then canceled for impending rain. (-: I've been wanting to check out the site for a while, so it was pleasant--it's free, and there's a good amount of food to choose from--the lines for the food weren't very long and the proceeds go to charity, so it's nice for an out-door dinner venue--and comfy if you bring a comfy folding chair. The only draw-back is there are only port-a-johns for bathroom facilities.
