From the path, we're looking at a little peninsula that juts out from the place we started round the lake. The bright sea green color on the water is a layer of algae covering this shallow, still part of the lake.


There's a bench at the end of the peninsula. There's no solid path on it, and it's often a bit soggy after rains, so I don't walk out on it that often. The town holds its July 4th fireworks display at the far end of the lake from where we started--I told you it is a hobbity place--but a lot of people go out on this little peninsula and watch them from there.

Gotta agree with Janet that the first pic looks like a painting! And that bench looks like a perfect spot for you and Bingo and Sam to sit and relax. :D
