Today I bring you roads of earth and water.

We're still on the path leading down to the lake.

This creek is the one we crossed over two days ago and is flowing beside the path. This view is from the often algae-covered wading pool it flows into, just before you reach the path that circles the lake. On a sunny day in spring and summer, you can often see 20 to 30 turtles sunning themselves on the rocks, branches, and banks of the pool.

As always, click any pic to embiggen.
crantz: The hamster is saying bollocks. It is a scornful hamster (star trek awesome possum)

I am sad to report that my frog is a 'shop, from an ad for stomach stuff.

One year at my grandmother's, the whole woods was filled with dozens and dozens of tiny frogs. It was amazing. It only happened once. Another year it was running baby birds everywhere. Another, acorns.

Lucky you with your very own wooded area. It looks like a lovely place to walk.

This is why I'm fond of Greenbelt--a town built around a lake is a good place.

So peaceful! There's not much green where I live.

Sometimes it gets crowded on the path, but not too often.

Being away from green can be hard. *hugs*

Gosh, these are beautiful shots, too. What a great, soul-refreshing place to go walking. Ahhhh.....

I do have pics from earlier. I'll have to dig them up and upload them. (-:
