I never finished posting pics from
claudia603's visit for the TTT symphony at the end of August so here 'tis. As Claudia reported, we took it easy the day after the concert, and our only outing was dinner at la Madeleine's in Rockville, a very hobbity place, and hence an excuse for hobbitdoll picspam.

True, Bingo and Sam should have been wearing their more traditional duds for this hobbity place, but they had just gotten those new t-shirts and jackets and shades then, and were eager to wear them on an outing.

Bingo: See anything you like on the menu, Sam, love?
Sam: If you're sitting on it, my dear, then I reckon I do.

Sam: Ms. Claudia? You won't be drinking all that wine there, will you?
Bingo: I suppose we could help her with that glass if it's a little too much, couldn't we, Sam?
Sam: Right, we could, Bingo.

Sam: Hmmm, I don't know which is making me warmer. Sitting by the fire, or sitting by you, love.
Bingo: Oh, I'm quite sure what's making me the warmer, my dear. And I'll tell you the answer when I get you home.

The hobbits took a stroll about the restaurant while we were eating.

Sam: This place isn't quite so lively as the Dragon. These Big folk don't know how to have a proper party, it seems. No one's dancing on the table, but you and me.
Bingo: Maybe it's just as well. There are axes on the walls here, Sam dear, so we wouldn't want to get them too wound up.

Bingo: Well, this is definitely a ranger's bicycle, but I don't see a ranger here anywhere.
Sam: Maybe he's taking a powder?

Sam: I could see you sitting here for hours buried in these old tomes.
Bingo: I'd much rather be buried in these tomes with you snuggled beside me, if you care to join me, that is.
Sam: *tightens his arm around Bingo's hips* There's no where I'd rather be, and that's a fact.

Bingo: I think it's about time a room was named to honour your work, amaelamin.
Sam: Heh! Well, great climbing junipers, I don't know what to say! My own room!

Sam:I'd be right frightened to see the trees those dropped from!
Bingo: Large and round--I've seen better . . .
Sam: Oh, stop that! *slides his hand down to clutch the roundness behind his love*
Bingo: With this encouragement? I don't think so, my dear.

Sam: Seeing all these pots and pans makes me wish we were back home, love, where I could cook you up your favorite chicken and mushroom stew.
Bingo: Samwise Gamgee, you are cooking wherever you stand; let no one say otherwise. *pulls him tight*

Sam Well, look what you've gone done: now I'm wishing I weren't standing at all and were home in bed with you in my arms. And these clothes look a treat on you, but you'd look finer still if they were all on the floor beside our bed.
Bingo: I think all that can be arranged . . .
So yeah, the hobbits were a bit noisy that night, even with the door of their little smial shut, but they still got up to join us for a visit to Annapolis and Kent Narrows the next day. To be continued . . .
