I never finished posting pics from [personal profile] claudia603's visit for the TTT symphony at the end of August so here 'tis. As Claudia reported, we took it easy the day after the concert, and our only outing was dinner at la Madeleine's in Rockville, a very hobbity place, and hence an excuse for hobbitdoll picspam.

True, Bingo and Sam should have been wearing their more traditional duds for this hobbity place, but they had just gotten those new t-shirts and jackets and shades then, and were eager to wear them on an outing.

Bingo: See anything you like on the menu, Sam, love?
Sam: If you're sitting on it, my dear, then I reckon I do.

Sam: Ms. Claudia? You won't be drinking all that wine there, will you?
Bingo: I suppose we could help her with that glass if it's a little too much, couldn't we, Sam?
Sam: Right, we could, Bingo.

Sam: Hmmm, I don't know which is making me warmer. Sitting by the fire, or sitting by you, love.
Bingo: Oh, I'm quite sure what's making me the warmer, my dear. And I'll tell you the answer when I get you home.

The hobbits took a stroll about the restaurant while we were eating.

Sam: This place isn't quite so lively as the Dragon. These Big folk don't know how to have a proper party, it seems. No one's dancing on the table, but you and me.
Bingo: Maybe it's just as well. There are axes on the walls here, Sam dear, so we wouldn't want to get them too wound up.

Bingo: Well, this is definitely a ranger's bicycle, but I don't see a ranger here anywhere.
Sam: Maybe he's taking a powder?

Sam: I could see you sitting here for hours buried in these old tomes.
Bingo: I'd much rather be buried in these tomes with you snuggled beside me, if you care to join me, that is.
Sam: *tightens his arm around Bingo's hips* There's no where I'd rather be, and that's a fact.

Bingo: I think it's about time a room was named to honour your work, amaelamin.
Sam: Heh! Well, great climbing junipers, I don't know what to say! My own room!

Sam:I'd be right frightened to see the trees those dropped from!
Bingo: Large and round--I've seen better . . .
Sam: Oh, stop that! *slides his hand down to clutch the roundness behind his love*
Bingo: With this encouragement? I don't think so, my dear.

Sam: Seeing all these pots and pans makes me wish we were back home, love, where I could cook you up your favorite chicken and mushroom stew.
Bingo: Samwise Gamgee, you are cooking wherever you stand; let no one say otherwise. *pulls him tight*

Sam Well, look what you've gone done: now I'm wishing I weren't standing at all and were home in bed with you in my arms. And these clothes look a treat on you, but you'd look finer still if they were all on the floor beside our bed.
Bingo: I think all that can be arranged . . .

So yeah, the hobbits were a bit noisy that night, even with the door of their little smial shut, but they still got up to join us for a visit to Annapolis and Kent Narrows the next day. To be continued . . .

omigosh, Frodo looks so smokin' cool. Those shades, leather jacket and the mushroom T...
And of course Sam with the Che Gurevera T...

My hobbits are envious.

Heeee! Awww, your praise made them blush.

I don't want them envious! I want to see your hobbits in their new holiday outfits they're going to make you get them now. (-;

La Madeleine's does look quite hobbit-friendly doesn't it? It also looks like a wonderful place to eat. Mmmmmm. I love places that are warm and cozy like that. Thanks for sharing.

There's one in Columbia, too. It's a happy place.

You're welcome. (-:

Samwise Gamgee, you are cooking wherever you stand
Oh Bingo, you got that right!

I hope you and Claudia enjoyed yourselves as much as the lads obviously did! :-)

I don't think anyone else can have as much fun as those hobbits have together, but we definitely had fun--it's a good cozy place.

Love Frodo's shades! Those hobbits have one-track minds, and no mistake.

That was such a great and hobbity restaurant! :)) I am only sorry that my main memory of that evening was feeling sick in the bathroom for such a long time, LOL!!

*hugs you* )-: Which is why the hobbits definitely had the better time there. At least they have a pretty bathroom with fun French wall tiles to stare at. :-P

Well, this is definitely a ranger's bicycle
*giggles muchly*

Oooh, this was very very very lovely!!! The restaurant looks so nice but I can understand why Bingo and Sam thinking not just about food. Loved this bit especially:

Bingo: See anything you like on the menu, Sam, love?
Sam: If you're sitting on it, my dear, then I reckon I do.

Awwwww!!!

Thank you!!! *hugs*

Hi! Yeah, there's a little bunch of us--welcome! (-: The sculpter did a really terrific job on their faces. <3 Sideshow! As I've started looking around at other doll manufacturers, I'm appreciating the job they did on our dolls even more. It's a lot of fun to tell stories with them.

I love their modern togs. Frodo looks like rough trade. ;-P

From: [identity profile] lavendertook.livejournal.com

Well, as Bingo, he IS a rough draft. Though he told me that's considered an insult term, and the preferred terms are "early draft" or "first drafters." "Retro draft" is also acceptable, especially among the young early draft crowd. :-D
