Chapter 3 is now up at Bingo's journal:

This climbing . . . is a little more . . . difficult than I remember. *puff* I suppose . . . it has been quite a few years since last I mounted an oliphaunt, and I'm . . . not completely up to form. *puff*

Fasten your hobbit seats for a bumpy oliphaunt ride with Bingo here . . .

Oh no, poor Bingo! And without a Sam to rescue him. :( Poor Saffron even, as it's clear she was only trying to carry out her mission. That said, this a really fun post. I loved Bingo's musings and postures as he huffed and puffed and tried to get up and oriented to get oriented, only to have Saffron take off. And as harrowing as it must have been for your poor hobbit, his placement in the tree branches is really well put together. Oh, and I love that you included a Quenya translation of Saffron's exclamation along with the Westron one. ;) Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

Thank you, hon! Well, as much as he blames me, it was his idea. I didn't think for this part of the journey to become perilous, but he decided to slide askew on Saffron in front of the camera, so we went with it. I'm really loving this really great full, delicate branch I found cut down around the lake--it must be from a dogwood or fruit tree of some kind--its fully of twiggy ends and you'll be seeing more of it.

Glad you liked the gratuitous use of Elvish. (-;

Hee! Crazy enough, I think I like his tumble all the more since it just happened in the course of filming. And yes, that tree branch is a wonderful prop--it adds so much dimension and really brings the scene to 3-D life. :D
