Shuri just sneaked up to my bowl of salad on the table, extracted a crouton from it with her mouth, and ran off with it. Just a very smooth stealth meezer move as I was handing other things. Gave me the best belly laugh I've had in a while.

I just pulled the bowl away as another heist was underway--I don't think those spices are good for her tummy, or she'd get half of everything I eat. Tuxie is a good sneak as well, but his diabetes limits what I can let him have. Sweet Pursimmon, however, is a little too timid to steal, so far at least, or it may be beneath her royal status as a lost princess. We'll see if that changes over time.

I have to watch them the whole time they are eating. The moment I stop watching, Shuri runs across the kitchen and assaults Tuxie's food and he let's her and walks away, and once I extract her, he won't come back until he's done a full circle around the dining room and living room and back to the kitchen, and lately he won't come back and goes to sit in his bed on the couch in hopes I will let him eat in bed. If I do (yeah, I have--I'm a sucker) and don't watch, Shuri will jump up and pull his bowl onto the rug. Sigh. Meanwhile, if Shuri and Purrsimmon walk away from their food dishes, Tuxie will be in them the moment I am not there to pull him out. He also knows he can push Purrsimmon out of her bowl and sometimes does so. Shuri takes over Purrsimmon's bowl, too. Purrsimmon is unfortunately a nibbler, while Shuri is a guzzler. So there's the daily dynamic, 3 times a day.

They're doing well. Tuxie is next to me and the girls are wrestling and running around. I am a little pouty that the girls aren't snuggly, but they are sweet, attentive, fun, and love to be scritched and have made my house a filled out home.

So many kitty moves :-) Penny and Harry have no conflicts in eating. Penny is a slapper. Regardless of what my food is, she slaps and grabs. Only then does she take a sniff to see if it's something she wants to eat.

Heee! Shuri is grabby. If I take her bowl away to be refilled, she'll reach up and grab the rim to pull it back down, and she's pretty damn strong. Same if she shoves her face in Tuxie's bowl and I take it away. Luckily, I find it cute. So far she hasn't managed to pull a bowl of liquid or wet food on her head yet, but give it time--it'll happen.
