One day I was working at the used book store in Milwaukee's airport, and Conyers came in looking for the current issue of the New York Review of Books. Since we don't carry new anything, naturally I didn't have it.

Impishly, I offered to sell him my copy of the new issue of the New York Review of Science Fiction! He looked a trifle startled, then took me up on my offer. So the guy is apparently a closet SF reader, if not a member of fandom!
