To the Professor!



We are on the edge of the bombogenesis storm and may get 2 inches or a coating of ice all frothed up with high winds for the morning commute.

Just to get all that slipping and falling stuff out of the way, as I was walking around my car when I got home, I tripped over a branch and ran a few steps trying to outrun the fall, but to no avail and landed on the outside of my left hand, wrist and arm, knee (the bad one) and calf, but I think I might have fallen on my face if I didn't run those few steps, so that was better than loosing all these teeth I've paid so much for, right? And it was on dirt, rather than the asphalt drive, so that's good. I've been on and off dizzy this afternoon, probably due to the fast dropping barometric pressure, and I'm sure that contributed to my loss of balance. I'm all bruised and rotted feeling. I'm hoping the feds will call for unscheduled telework tomorrow to lessen the amount of people on the roads, because I'd like to stay on my couch between my cats all day tomorrow.

And Happy New Year, flisties! I have higher hopes for 2018 than I had for 2017, which isn't saying much, but let's hope 2018 comes through for us all. <3

Oh sweetie! I'm sorry you fell and got hurt. Winter sucks ass (even if you weren't slipping on snow :)). I hope that the bombogenesis snow mostly misses you!

Thank you, my friend. I do blame the storm, though--the rapid barometric pressure drop they were talking about with this storm made me dizzy and lacking balance that contributed to the fall. We got just a little snow, but enough ice, that the feds declared unscheduled teleworking was permitted, so I am happily home working and being careful with my sore wrist. We're getting winds now and will get a big temp drop tonight.

Thank you, dear! We were permitted unscheduled telework today to keep off the roads. I'm sensitive to barometric changes, and there was a real hugs drop before this storm that made me dizzy that was part of the fall. I think you've mentioned you're a fellow weather witch, so you know the drill. *hugs you*

I'm so sorry you took that fall. Dirt is at least better than pavement, though, but I expect the soil was pretty frozen. Hope those bruised muscles don't get too achy. :(

Dirt is definitely better than pavement, but harder to catch your balance on, and there was a big oak tree in front of me and if I didn't catch my balance on it right, it would have hurt me more. The wrist is sore, but the really nasty looking bruise on my calf isn't hurting at all, so I'm good. Thank you!

I'm doing better today than I thought--I guess taking lots of ibuprophen immediately to cut the inflammation really does help. But we were permitted unscheduled teleworking today, so I am happily home and comfortable. Thank you, sweetie! And there I am in your icon like Charlie and Linus (I carried a blanket for a long time so I identify with him) except it wasn't ice that got me but the big drop in barometric pressure making me pre-storm dizzy.

Wrist still doesn't like weight bearing and certain motions, but hopefully it will heal soon. The knee seems to have made it through fine. Thank you! *hugs*
