baranduin asked us to post music vids we like, so I looked up my favorite local band from my Chapel Hill, NC days in the 80s and 90's who are still playing now--
Southern Culture on the Skids (SCOTS). They put on one hell of a concert and I don't think the vids can capture the dancing energy. They do very fun, campy rockabilly, or swampabilly as they name it--hilarious, though sometimes the offensiveness outdoes the campiness, the playing is always top notch and food is a favorite subject for them.

I've miss you, my dear! What a lovely cat icon, is that your kittie?
Look at this delicate nose *rubs cat's nose and huggles you*

She was my dearest Saki for 16 years after I brought her home from the shelter, but she died the beginning of her 17th year last October. She had a very rubbable nose and belly. She had a smart, sparkling personality full of love and it's tough being without her, but I was the luckiest to have her love for all those years.
Thank you for coming by. I've seen you in my circle for a long time now but I don't' know if we've interacted before. You are most welcome here. (-:

I'm so glad that you are welcoming me. Be sure (and warned) I'll stroll around in your journal the coming days and weeks.
Have a wonderful week, my dear.

Saki was alert and present and active on her worst days in ways that my other cats are on their best. She was a soft spoken talker and burbler and had ever changing ways of getting my attention and making me feel loved. She was my best buddy and got more beautiful as she aged. I am blessed in having had two siamese cats, each as a heart child, but I got to be with Saki a lot longer than my first cat Storm.
Have a wonderful week, too. (-:

OMG, I'm so sorry for what poor little Josh went through and you and yours--how absolutely horrible. *hugs you*
Your kitties are beautiful. So many lovely tortie's (tortoiseshell cats)! Saki was a tortie point siamese, since her points had mixed colors--one of her parents or grandparents was a tortie. You are wonderful to take care of so many. I had 4 for a while, but just 2 now, which is all my apartment complex allows. it's really all I can handle taking care of right now.
Mousy looks like my Milli did--cali-tabbies are beautiful.
Here's some pics of Milli: http://bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com/photo/album/2069?page=1

Torties are very beautiful and unique. Fortunately we have a big house so the cats can play whereever they want BUT they prefer to stay at our flat :-) They don't go outside, they are absolutely indoor-cats :-)
When we lived in a 2 room flat we had 6 cats - oh my, it was pretty narrow but we enjoyed it.
Indeed - your Milli could have been Mousy's sister. Mousy was such a dear heart and I miss her much.
I got her a wonderful place in our garden (as all my others darling are who passed away) so she and her friends are always with us.
I love the picture of Milli, she was simply gorgeous.

I worry too much to let my cats outdoors--my area isn't very safe--too many cars and crazy people.
Oh, I'm sorry your Mousy passed on too like my Milli. Milli was a sweet girl without a jealous bone in her body who used to love to blink her eyes lovingly rather than be held. Every now and then she wanted to be held as tight as possible, but mainly she liked to sit across the room and blink love at me and Saki. Her fur in the sun would take my breath away it was so beautiful, like your Mousy, too. I got her a couple of years before I got Saki, and they never cuddled up with each other, but they played really well together once Milli learned how to fight with her. (-:

She has stolen Josh from our garden, took him to her home and didn't treat him. I had all the medicine he needed and when he had disappeared I had no clue where he was. After few month she yelled at me, it would be animal cruelty that he was operated (his tail had to be amputated because it was broken), and now he wouldn't leave her home.
I was more than enraged when I finally held him in my arms. He had a massive blood poisoning so I had to take im to the vet again and put him to sleep. But that wasn't all. I went to the police and after months of fighting at the law I won. Sure - this didn't bring back Josh but if I wouldn't have spoken for him - who else? The lady had to pay 5000 € - money I donated to the animal shelter. I can tell you - this was nerve-racking. The longer it lasted the angrier I became but ultimately it was worth it.
Josh has now a little sunny place in my garden so he's always there.
Your Milli's fur is gorgeous, all shades of gold like my Mousy's was. Reading what you tell me about her - she must have been a little princess close to your heart. Things like this make me sooo happy!
YAY! You friended me!!! Thank you sooo much! *twirls you around*
