November Farewell

I'm really sad about the untimely passing of Gwen Ifill. Her voice was part of the soundtrack for my maturing political awareness. What a hard week to pass on, but probably a hastener for letting go. Safe passage and rest in peace.

I watched the President's press conference, and his looking like he was controlling himself from laughing at how unprepared Trump is was kind of heartening, his "just wait--he wont' know what hit him" look. I really hope infighting will render him and his cabinet ineffectual in a way that lessons the harm they will try to enact. Hope is all we have.

Yes, it was very sad (Gwen Ifil's passing).

Poor Obama. It just makes me feel so sad to think the reins are going from him to...that.

I'm weary of hearing and seeing the news and will be for some time I'm afraid. We will all remember Obama fondly, especially the press when they have to deal with the new administration. It'll be simple phrases with Trump if they grant press conferences at all.

Sad about Ifill, I know she was hoping to see the first female President-Elect.

I was sad to hear of her passing.

Is it awful of me that I keep thinking, "At least Mews didn't have to see this."

It's an awful thing to wish for congressional gridlock but there it is ...

It's such a contrast - to go from someone like Obama to someone like Trump. :( The contrast couldn't be bigger.
