And for today's life prank, I woke up with no running hot water. The water heater system for the entire building failed and they hope it will be fixed tomorrow. I'm not one who can brave a completely cold shower, so the month of a thousand paper cuts continues . . . I am so ready for June to end. Oy.

One of the reasons I've lived in the same place for longer than most renters is that when the hot water broke my landlady paid extra for the fastest emergency call-out and immediate repairs. At least as a Brit I have a one litre capacity electric kettle for a substitute.
June needs to learn to behave!

They did get on it immediately, but again it required parts ordered, so no hot water yet--maybe tomorrow. I do have an electric kettle, and the stove is working fine, so am fine for hot water for dishes and such, but it doesn't help with the shower, which makes me grumpy and jumpy. I will go to the gym tonight to get a shower, though.
June sure is busting out all o-over!
