It's been raining since Friday night and all the grass suddenly turned green yesterday, though the Bradford pears haven't gone into bloom yet--probably because they knew what would happen today: it started snowing again a couple of hours ago, heavy, and some of it is sticking, goddammit!!!! The temps have really dropped with it. It's March 30th. It's just so wrong--so very, very wrong.

So here's some pics of snow from around here back in January, when it was still pretty, and had a sense of propriety, unlike the current snow that respects nothing and no one:

Lovely pictures! I'm just so much more wishing to see green meadows and trees budding, as you are. I'd hoped to plant early-spring seeds this weekend! Come soon, spring!

The images of low sun combined with reflective water are especially beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

it just doesn't care--it's going to do whatever it feels like, like some power-sick adolescent.

I might have heard the howl of a white wolf of the North last night.

How frustrating. I'm so sick of this never ending winter.

Your pictures are beautiful.

We hates it as much as it hates us and wishes us ill.

Thank you, hon. BTW, how is your hip healing? Has the pain abated at all and are you walking more little by little?

Aw, thanks for asking, love. I graduated from the walker back to my cane about three weeks ago and I'm doing outpatient PT. The pain is much better than it was before surgery. I still have a ways to go to get back the range of motion I want. *hugs*

I'm glad the pain's less, but sorry it's not gone and that you still have a ways, but hope this part of the journey is easier. I've been learning to walk with a cane to keep some pressure off my injured knee, so we could go on 3 legged walks together, and woe be to any ruffian who comes our way and doesn't realize that a cane is a pole weapon. :-D *squooshes*

nooooo...no more snow! It's not allowed! I can't even tell you those pictures are beautiful, given how much I really hate the sight of the white stuff (and I hate January light, it makes my stomach feel dread). It's been lovely here and I really think we're out of the woods from here on out (although I don't trust this winter as far as I can throw it), but it's supposed to rain all week here! But today was beautiful. Sunny and spring-like. It will come. It has to! *hugs*

Lovely photos but I am so tired of snow that as I looked at them, I found myself wishing that the sun in the photos would melt it all. This winter has made me bitter. lol

I hope the snow doesn't cling on too much longer. It's time for flowers and little chicks.
