Happy birthday to my coyote-identified friend supergee, in honor of which here is some coyote spam featuring Charlie and his big tomcat brother Eli on the Wyoming prairie. Charlie is featured at the Daily Coyote. I've been enjoying pics of Charlie and his continuing adventures there for a few years now.

Coyotes are handsome creatures, more so than Wile E. I hadn't realized.

I grew up out in the country, in the Texas panhandle. I listened to coyotes howl many many times in my life. I love that sound. Whenever anyone heard them, they would shoosh everyone else, and the whole family would just stop and listen, transfixed. For decades we have done this.
