Let's get the whining out of the way right off: I've been laid up with a fever for three days, going up to almost 102 last night. I think it's finally broken. But I missed the pretttttttttiest spring day ever today. )-: So I've been getting some slow studying done, and reading LJ and newspapers between feeling sickly and consumptive and woe is poor me.

Not very happy with my country at all right now--no, not at all. I hope the poll the Washington Post reported was skewed, and that more Americans blame the administration for the abuses and want to see real action about it, but I fear it could be accurate./-:

I've been at my job 4 months and it still feels like a wonderfully laid back place to work and actually do useful work, even if it is tedious much of the time. Some of the time it isn't, and I think that may be as much as one can hope for, by my job experience and what I've observed, including teaching (the major part of your time involving the grading of papers). So I feel pretty lucky about that.

But I have been getting too many colds this season and its messing with my dissertation work time--sooo slow. *worries*

However, the weight loss program is on track again now that the days are longer--I lost the two pounds I gained over the winter and another one as well. My turtle count down at the lake I walk around is almost up to 30. And one of the ducks has a bunch of ducklings. Mountian laurel bloom won't be as profuse as I suspected it to be--I guess they need one more year to recover from the drought.

Bingie update pending.(-;

I'm sorry to hear your are sick, but glad to hear that you enjoy your job. As for the mess Mssr. Bush and his stooges have got your country in, there are no words.

Thank you for the well wishes. (-:

On your southern neighbors, damn we need this admin out. The whole world does./-:

And I wanted to tell you I loved that last Fro drawing you posted--I saw it at work and didn't have time to comment and have been wanting to get back, so, yeah. Really beautiful--as always.

First thing: get to feeling well quickly, missy! *sends vitamin C vibes your way*

Yeah, this country is a giant headache these days. I don't understand what people are thinking at all.

And good work on your other attempts at getting back to healthfulness. :D
