Saki: So, Moo . . . I'm in a box.

Moo: Fancypants dork.

They are. The Senator is taking this time to elongate in ways I did not know were possible. He's like a sand worm. Madame is investigating new places to nap.

Senator Sandworm also opens his mouth to show ALL THE TEETH OMFJGLKJGKDJFKLDS

Madame is well. She has decided there are three places to "do ones business." The litterbox in my bedroom with the door shut is good. My bed is a constant delight. I got puppy pee pads with this gel in them that locks liquid quickly. Also there is basically one spot she likes on teh side of the bed. That spot, always covered with pee pads. And I found some cheap waterproof mattress covers. LE SIGH.

The newest troubling thing is sometimes she will pee on an ottoman in the living room. Fortunately I figured out what casues that. If my bedroom door has blown shut & she can't get to her preferrred locations the ottoman is a back up. She also does a distinctive scratching cat dance which I now know means "pick up this cat and deposit her on a pee pad"

From my POV the most unfortunate thing is if she's upset (I'm away, I come home late, etc) she pees all over my bed. Just all of it.

More frustrating is that is she's not wanting to eat enough. I now put nutrical in every serving. I'm experimenting with a bazillion kinds of wet foods, and worst case she just gets some cooked chicken or turkey. I'm trying to keep feeding low stress. She's too old to force feed.

Her bulk has diminished but not her MAGNIFICENCE and DIGNITY.

She is sitting in an easy chair on top of THREE blankets. Take that haters!

I guess she just wanted that closed-in feeling---you must have been giving her too much freedom! lol

I remember the magic of big boxes when I was a toddler--the dream habitation of your own they could become. I wonder if it's the same for the feline box lovers--if they're having imaginings of an ideal shelter or if it's just a feeling driving them?

Maybe. Or just surveying the different perspective of seeing Moo through the holes.

True, Moo doesn't seem very impressed at all. (Unless she's hiding her seething jealousy.)

I'd go with the former. Milli used to be fascinated spectating what Saki would come up with. Tuxie is Saki's acolyte when he's not trying to hit her--if Saki's doing it, it must be fun. Moo does sometimes get jealous of the attention Saki gets for her exploits, but remains unimpressed with the exploits themselves, if she bothers noticing them at all. (-;

If she were nearer, that would definitely cross her mind. She enjoys blocking Saki at passageways.

These are so funny. What pretty fur babies you have. Hope you don't mind that I popped in via another Lj but good kitty pics are irresistible.

Thank you kindly! (-: Of course I don't mind! We're practically flistmates already--I might as well friend you, if that's OK?
