I spent Halloween weekend in West Virginia with my friends Carmen and Kate, whom I met during my Xena fandom days, and they put on quite a show. In order to reach the fog enshrouded candy basket, tricker-treaters had to pass by glowing-eyed skeleton, webs, spiders, sound-activated, maniacal laughter, glow-eyed witch, lit cauldron, crawling hand, and flapping bats. T'was cool. <3 Halloween.

I shared the guest room with a petite tortie kitty who they are fostering--and what a cutie! She crawled right up under my chin, purring, and leaned her cheek and nose against my mouth for kisses--I never met such a kiss-seeking kitty!(-: But she needs a home. Here she is. Carmen and Kate already have a full managerie and can't keep her and I've filled my efficiency's 2 cat limit, so if you know of anybody who wants an affectionate kitty, we'd probably relay drive a few states to get her a home; just email Carmen or contact me. Thus ends my pathetic but heart-felt sales pitch.

And we ended the weekend watching the extended FotR dvd followed by chirpy commentary--so a happy break in my dissertation work and job hunting.

Oooh, kitty!

That kitty is so cute! If I didn't think that my cat Pippin would either murder her or self-destruct and go mad, I would take her. My other cat, Jasper, is also a cuddle kitty who loves to sit on my lap and purr and hug and kiss, but Pippin! Pippin is... special... Pippin was a rescue kitty who had been feral, starved, and abused, all before the age of 8 weeks! She hates having other cats around and still (after 3 years) can barely tolerate having Jasper in the house. I will check around to see if anyone else I know is looking for a love-cat, but I can't promise anything.

Re: Oooh, kitty!

I read your entry--Poor Jasper! Well, it's possible she might give Pippin a run for her money--she hasn't gotten along with their other animals, but she did come to the house pregnant and they're more aggressive then--that was my Saki's condition when I got her--and they didn't intend to keep her so they haven't done any work to integrate her with them. But she is a love kitty. Thank you for trying to pass the info on.(-:

Siamese tortie? I wish I lived close enough to adopt it, but I'm all the way over (smack-dab) on the West Coast. *sniffles* ;_;

Hi, I'm Umbrae! I was looking for LotR fans who might possibly be interested in joining a unique rpg and I stumbled across your journal and wanted to leave you an invite. My e-mail is listed on the site if you want to write and ask any questions or anything. If not, that's ok...but I do hope the kitty finds a home!

Sorry to bother you! Best wishes,

Hi Umbrae! Awww, it's a shame that's a liiiiittle toooo far to drive her.

Thanks so much for inviting me to FA. I saw the ads for your rpg in shards of arda and thought it looked very interesting, and if I had time I would join. But I have a bunch of pups in MESPT and I sort of like to keep the storyline of my pups intersecting. It might be fun to have a few of our pups come visit your rpg's universe some time, if you're up for it--it's not the first time we've universe hopped. (-:

Are you familiar with MESPT? My oldest pup is Bingo Bolger-Baggins. And we'd love to have more folks come play with us in MESPT. Or maybe we could work out a sister-universe arrangement, or something. ahaha!
