It was out since Thursday afternoon. Hurricanes suck. (Not as bad as tornadoes though.)

No, I did. They had electricity. I was her only patient for the time I was there so she was much better focused. And I did my own pain management--now that I know you have to. I made her give me a lot of topical pain killer before the needle and that helped some. She did a better job with it this time too.

Anyway, very nice to have electricty back. I missed you!

I'm gald your power is back on. I hadn't realized that the outages reached that far inland. Once I heard that my parents were all right (in Chapel Hill), I just sort of assumed that everyone was all right, because my parents seem to be a magnet for bad weather these days.

TY. (-: Oh yeah--the eye was west of here, so we got it good around here--2 million were without power in the region--and many thousands are still waiting.

I got out of Germantown (with some difficulty, as there were trees all over the streets) on Friday and went to my sister's house in Annapolis. My power came back on yesterday afternoon (I know this not because I'm psychic, but because a couple friends of mine checked for me), so I came back home last night. I'm going to have to throw out a bunch of food and clean up the yard, but otherwise, no harm done for me. (Can't say the same for the folks in Annapolis, where entire buildings were submerged under water!)

Glad you got your power back. I was in Alexandria today and saw the damp line on the walls where the water came up on some of the stores by the river--about 5'.

BTW, I missed seeing you at the Bilbo Birthday party today. Hope you're doing well.

I'm sorry that I missed the party. I spent from 4:00 - 8:30 cleaning up all the branches and stuff that the hurricane blew into my yard.

We'll have to figure out some way to get together sometime soon.

Yeah, the hurricane did steal a good chunk of time and aggravation from many of us. And we're still the lucky ones. Your poor friend who you posted about--I hope she has family around who are helping her--I'm very glad her cat turned up though.

We do! We should meet for lunch or dinner sometime soon--this weekend is all open for me if there's a day that's good for you.

I'm thinking Sunday will be open. I usually spend Saturdays doing errands.
