Puff Ball

Missing my little spark plug. Saki was less interested in toys her last few months. But when I got home from the Laramie Moot, I gave her one of the puff balls [personal profile] hanarobi gave me, and she played with it for a couple of minutes--the last new toy to wrest any attention from her.

I found the scrappy partial remains of a toy mouse under a pile of clothes last year when decrufting and Saki was so delighted with it then--it went in her bed along with her wool mouse.

Queen Puff Ball Hunter. She looks happy there with her trophies.

Saki loved her toys and only lost some of her playfulness the last few months. She had a good life--I just wish she were still here.

I'm glad the new puff ball interested her for a while.

It did. She still enjoyed her nip, food, brushing, and love a lot to the end.

Look at her, she's a stealth kitty on that rug. I'm glad she got to play with a new toy.

Thank you. She used to fetch back in the day and would drag her mylar stick around still until her last years.

Your sweetheart will be forever gentle on your mind, and heart.

*hugs you* I'm so grateful she was in my life for 16 years. I still can't help wanting her for longer though.

Hug your cutie for me.

She was like the doggie in your icon. She loved to own what she had. I miss begin so owned.

♥ to our lovely girl. Kitties in their toys...;)

When I come home from work, I find toys in all kinds of interesting places, often on my bed. I have NO idea who carries them around, although I suspect Merlin.

*hugs*

I suspect it was always a combo of Saki and Tuxie mostly. If it was a mylar/feather stick in a new place, it was Saki. If it was a shoe lace or chord of any kind, it was Tuxie. If it was a mouse or other catnip, puff, or foil toy, then I don't know which--I haven't seen anything moved about but shoelaces though since Saki died. In her early days, Saki did a lot of fetching by mouth, but later I think she worked by swatting. I think all Tuxie's work is by swatting, but it's possible he drags the strings sometimes by mouth.

It is so lovely to know that Saki enjoyed one of the puffballs from Sophie's collection. Smudge never cared much one way or the other, but Sophie was obsessed with her puff balls.

Dear Saki.

I didn't know that was one Sophie had played with. I'm so glad they had that connection then. It's in Saki's green bed on the futon, along with her wool catnip mouse, and the bit of fur toy mouse remains. Tuxie has slept there once or twice since Saki has been gone, so he's slept on it.

Our lovely Smudge, Sophie, and Saki.
