But for a moment, then gone . . .

From the path, we're looking at a little peninsula that juts out from the place we started round the lake. The bright sea green color on the water is a layer of algae covering this shallow, still part of the lake.

There's a bench at the end of the peninsula. There's no solid path on it, and it's often a bit soggy after rains, so I don't walk out on it that often. The town holds its July 4th fireworks display at the far end of the lake from where we started--I told you it is a hobbity place--but a lot of people go out on this little peninsula and watch them from there.

They're both gorgeous. I really like the composition in the first pic, and the blues and greens in the second. :D

Those look like paintings.

Thank you! (-: Shooting from the shade out to the light on the island seems to give a nice misty effect.

Those are such beautifully composed shots. As Janet says, they look like paintings.

Gotta agree with Janet that the first pic looks like a painting! And that bench looks like a perfect spot for you and Bingo and Sam to sit and relax. :D

Thank you! (-: The hobbits will insist on my bringing their own properly sized bench though.

I'd kill to have a painting of that second pic in my living room.

Well, if you wanted a photo poster, the pixel size allows it to go up to 16" X 20". I would be glad to email you a copy if you want to take it to a photo shop to make a poster.

We even had to hide from the Sackville-Baggins when walking around the lake! (-;

It is. (-: Now it's time to wait for the leaves to come back in April.
