Concert at Wolftrap

I'm thinking of going tomorrow night to Wolftrap to see KD Lang and Lyle Lovett, which should be a great concert, and the weather should be more temperate tomorrow for lawn sitting.

My issues, though, are money being tight, but I think I can squeeze it with a minimum of guilt, and time being tight, getting ready for a visit from my brother this weekend. My bigger problem is logistics since it's on the other side of the Beltway from where I'm working and at 7:30, which means braving rush hour traffic to get there.

So a question for DC area folk--how early do you think I'd need to leave from work in Hyattsville/Adelphi to get there in time to park and stake out a spot? Would I need more than 2 1/2 hours?

Also, any DC area folks interested in going and meeting up there?

The drive wouldn't be as much of a problem but the turf-staking might be. I'd allow an hour to get there, so 2.5 to get there and stake out should be plenty. Bring picnic. :-)

Thanks, K! OK, the reduces my worry about the time factor--I can't afford to leave any earlier from work.

Also, traffic is a bit lighter on the Beltway since schools let out for the summer. I'm communting from Tysons Corner to Manassas and the volume is noticably better. That should help you.

Good--thank you! I've also noticed things are generally less clogged on the outer loop than the inner at evening rush on this end at least, which I'll be taking.
