A very happy birthday to sweet shirebound! I hope the day was filled with snuggles and cake and fun! Most of these pics are from spring and summer 2011 around and near the lake.

And of course, there must be a bunny. This was after the sun went down, so my camera was struggling to find enough light to catch an image.




Here is a very serious and experienced model, not unlike the PipPup, hard at work. This was from last October, also late in the evening on the little isthmus in the middle of the lake, and at quite a distance. And note, grey_wonderer, there's a bench in the background.

These pictures make me yearn for spring. I think this is my favorite post so far. So many beautiful, happy images. I am always thrilled when the baby ducklings make their first appearances.

I just learned that pansies are really a tricolored variety of violets--both ar ein the genus Viola, and that these would probably be considered wild violets, rather than pansies, but I'll post some cultivated pansy pics for you soon. (-: I love you too, bb. *squishes*
