I love seeing the stills. The images of Bag End always look as I'd pictured from the books. A neat, well-appointed manor home, set in a hill. Other than the Gollum/Bilbo scene, I think the entire opening sequence with Bilbo running to join the group was my fav pt of the movie.
Yes, the beginning in Bag End and Shire, with the prologue in Dale and Erebor, the Riddle Scene, plus the Eagle ride to the Carrock sunrise were the best entire segments and entirely rocked.
Me too. I'm grateful to walk in these places on the big screen. The conceptual art and the music is the best part--we can fix the story telling on our own. (-:
I loved seeing more of Bag End in this movie, and more of Rivendell too. I think the only disappointment I had was Radagast's house. I pictured it so differently. But that's a small thing.
I didn't really have a picture for Radagast's house in my mind, but I liked what they gave us. Could have been prettier and grander, but it was nicely organic, and I respect that choice.

Did you go see it yet? It really is nice on an IMAX.
