Lavender is a useful and intelligent person; yes, she is. She managed to get her dvd hooked up and playing today. Clever Lavendy, bright Lavendy, pretty Lavendy. *pats self on head, smiles stupidly brilliantly*

This makes up for my couple of days of hurricane-induced technological deprivation, and even puts me a rung up the tech ladder from where I was. Which means I've got a little further to plummet next outage. But right now, I'm gonna preen and look forward to finally watching my extended FotR. Go me! (-:

I just watched the opening with Blue-Shirted Bingo Frodo and am in love with the slower pace and the additions from Concerning Hobbits, all the further views of Bag End's interior, and the focus on Bilbo's scholarship. I still think Frodo is more "book" Bingo-like Frodo-like up until he jumps out of the wagon than he is in the rest of the movie, due to the quippy wry talk depicted there. Of course I have yet to see the rest of the extended bits, but I will treat myself to watching through to the birthday party before bed tonight, it being timely and all. Fun with technology!!! Wheee!
