Lift off!!!

Yay!!! We had lift off!

So nice to see in the midst of all the death and suffering on our country on earth. I still hate Elon Musk and hell no to building the Maglev through my town and cutting down our much loved North Woods, but glad he helped get this one right.

I live in Greenbelt, a town community built through FDR's New Deal, that also houses Goddard Space Flight Center that houses computers Dragon mission uses so we're the city where New Deal Democratic socialism and spaceflight meets--love my town!

It was good to see new pics of people looking out at Earth again.

And my meezers are having wrestling fun!

The launch was thrilling! After waiting so long, it seemed like it suddenly happened all at once. I'm very happy for all those folks.

Aww, I missed it, will have to google it. But I did enjoy watching Spacex's rocket blow up, especially in slow motion.

I actually saw the launch on replay--it was really nice. I forgot about it because the forecast yesterday seemed bad so I tuned out and was reminded to tune in just in time to see them in orbit for the separation--looking at it fall away to earth--that was very cool!

They are so very cute. No boundaries between those two. And yet they're very different. I owe putting up lots of pics here--I keep wanting to do a pic a day--maybe I should challenge me to do that for June and shut up my inner perfectionist that it's OK if I fail some days. And when I figure out how to put up the videos, you are in for some serious cute! Shuri is bigger than Purrsimmon now and almost a full grown cat--so very fast!

I actually saw the launch on replay because I forgot and missed it. I remembered in time to see the separation of the second stage part from orbit seeing it falling back to earth as they watched, which was really cool, so be sure you find a vid that keeps going to show that.

There was a good post on FB, that went something like, "Congratulations to the astronauts today on the successful launch away from earth! Good choice!!" :-D Oh yeah . . .

Watched it now, so cool! Saw two separations and the rocket land back on its recovery ship. Still haven't figured out what "Of course I still love you" is but I like it. Yay space flight!
