Twin Birthdays!!!

Happy Birthday to two very wonderful hobbit folk, my dear friend jan_u_wine and addie71!!! I hope it is a fine one and you have a great long birthday weekend! Here's some pretties and critters in your honor I saw the past week:


Mountain laurels--opening a little late this year due to our cold rainy May until this week.


A very mellow frog I saw today who wanted to send birthday greetings along.




A male skink, who made it through this winter, and probably another as well.


A female skink who made it through the winter.


A snapper turtle sunning--not a huge one, but probably about a foot long shell.


Two intertwined water snakes hanging out together.


A rat snake who was hanging out across the pathway today.


Roses by the Youth Center near the lake, because you both should have roses.

Thank you for the lovely card! The mountain laurels and roses are gorgeous and that snapping turtle looks so relaxed, lol! I've never seen, nor heard of, for the matter, of skinks. What interesting looking creatures. :))

good morning and thank you for the lovely post.......(you know I love those frogs n skinks and......other (oy!!!) critters! And I plopped the roses into a vase, with a sprig of mountain laurel to keep company)

it was a perfectly mixed bag of a day......the first part was lovely and the second part not--as-much-so. In other words, life happened, as it always does.
