Sequential Birds and US Politics

The Guardian had an interesting spread today of a photographer's work on the flight path of birds through sequential photos. I'm paging [livejournal.com profile] lbilover on this one.

And if you're not following Nate Silver's site featuring election poll data, he wrote up a very interesting article on the differences in the electoral map if only men or only women were voting, with brief musings on science fictional scenarios for voting being restricted to women only. Well done, Nate, well done. Those maps say an awful lot.

Nate Silver was a comfort for a while there. And then the data was showing too little of a difference between support for Clinton and for Trump. So I got scared and sad. But now I can again go to him for comfort regarding the elections.

I did read the entry on the difference between men voters and women voters. Yay for the women. And the blacks. And the Muslims. And the Mexicans. And and and.

Women and Minorities determine the course of the most powerful nation. What a beautiful headline that will be the morning of Wednesday, November 9th.

*fingers crossed because who knows what is going to happen in the next 27 days*

Let that be! (And that's Miss Rose's birthday, so it HAS to be a good day!)
