Sounds like you have found a real winner in the vet department. That isn't an easy thing to manage these days. We have, in the past, dealt with a ritzy vet with lots of staff and inflated charges. The doctors were good but not at all accessible. The money seemed to be the main thing with them because they tended to give you print outs of potential charges up front and get you to sign them before they did anything.
Now, we deal with a local vet who works us in when emergencies happen. His office is far less grand, his staff less numerous and he works alone. I am much happier with him and so far, his care and treatment with my pets has been excellent.
